I had a feeling a storm was brewing but I didn't fully realize the extent of the change that was on the horizon. You don’t always see the crossroads ahead of you until you’re there, but the images I made on the day I met those diverging paths foretold the storm that was to come. Just as they are a record of rejuvenation and life through torrential rain, the passing storm signified a seismic change in my own landscape.

These four images of the Grand Canyon were all shot on the same day in August of 2022 during monsoon season. I had been to the Canyon many times before but never during this time of year. I am told scenes like this are rare outside of the short rainy season and I feel lucky to have seen the Canyon in such beauty.

This series, which was photographed with a large format 4x5 camera, is limited to 50 prints of each.
